Rescue Drugs

  1. Atropine
  2. Ephedrine
    - Is it really ephedrine?
    - 15 mg. IV
  3. Oxygen

Observations:

  1. No need for atropine in EGD.
  2. No need for atropine in colonoscope withdrawal.
  3. Bradycardia usually requires no treatment.
  4. We've seen simultaneous hypotension and bradycardia requiring both rescue drugs only once.
  5. Frailer patients and deeper sedation require more frequent BP determinations.
